CHRISTMAS AT CLC

Here is the bulletin for our Christmas Eve worship service.

As with just about everything else in 2020, our Christmas Eve worship will look different this year. As we’ve done worship differently, we’ve also received surprise blessings that will impact the way we worship post-pandemic. (A-hem, worship at our outdoor chapel!) I believe something similar will happen as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus this year!

We will have two services this Christmas Eve – 4pm and 6pm MT. Both services will be held in the parking lot of Christ Lutheran Church, drive-in style. They will be simultaneously aired on The Lift FM – 99.7, 106.7, www.theliftfm.com, or streaming via Alexa. Even if you are unable to worship with us in person you can still do so via The Lift FM!

Towards the end of our worship, we will sing Silent Night by candlelight. Upon arrival to the worship service there will be an individual (masked, wearing gloves) distributing candles to worshippers as they remain in their cars. At the point in the service when we are ready to sing Silent Night, worshippers will be invited to step outside of their cars to receive a flame and then sing together. Candlelighters (the long sticks used by acolytes during a regular worship service) will be used for the candle lighting in order to help us maintain physical distancing.

Pastor Larry will also video his Christmas sermon and it will be available through Christ Lutheran’s website and app on Christmas Day.

This year we will worship our God who came as a baby in the person of Jesus. And although our worship will look different, we will have a unique opportunity to shine the light of Christ to all those around and passing by. May God be glorified in all we say and do this year, next year, and forevermore!
